Hello, my name is Betty Martin and I teach 6th grade math at Jefferies Junior High. I attended Texas Women's University and Tarleton State University. I have degrees in both Home Economics and Mathematics. I have taught for 24 years, of which 19 have been in the Comanche School District.
Sixth grade math is a diverse year in which students improve prior mathematics skills and are introduced to each phase of higher mathematics with emphasis on Algebra readiness.
My goal is to help students increase the skills and gain knowledge to make the transition to succeed in the more rigorous coursework in high school and beyond.
