My name is Christopher Newby, but I have gone by Randy for my entire life. I am married to a wonderful 3rd grade teacher who works down the road in Gustine. Her name is Andrea Newby. I am in my 8th year as a teacher of musical education and 6th year as an art instructor.
I gained my love of music back in high school in Springtown, then I moved on to Ranger College, and was certified as a teacher at Tarleton State University. I have never been so busy and happy at the same time as here, and this is a wonderful place! I feel very lucky to have a group of co-workers and students like I have found here!

This will be the 6th year that we have had the 8th grade art class as an elective. In 2007 we started offering art to 7th graders as well! It has been a great experience and this year will be no exception as we dive into basic drawing, the elements of art, the fundamentals of design, and many creative projects.
