Welcome to Comanche High School's business department. We offer many classes. First of all in the technology fields, we offer BCIS (introductory computer course), Multimedia (2nd year computer), Web Mastery (3rd year computer), Accounting I, and Accounting II. At the present time, I teach all but he BCIS classes. Those are taught by my neighbor, Coach Nichols.

BCIS is our introductory computer class. In this class, students learn to use the Office 2007 suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Access. The concentration of this course is learning the basics of formatting and data input for all of these programs.

Multimedia is our second year computer course. In this course, students learn to use Microsoft Word, Adobe PhotoShop, Microsoft Front Page, Windows Movie Maker, Goldwave and Microsoft Publisher.

Web Mastery is our 3rd level computer course. In Web Mastery students are responsible for the school Internet web site and Intranet web site. Both of these are created in Net Start, which is new for our district this year. In this course, students are also exposed to programs such as Microsoft Front Page and Macromedia Flash, as well as JAVA and other Flashy additives!!!

Accounting I and II are designed to introduce students to the accounting profession and the principles and elements of basic Accounting.

When I am not working and running around in the classroom, you will find me out on the Golf course with my girls' golf team!! I have been coaching girls golf for over 10 seasons, and what a joy those have been. We have made several trips to the Regional Golf Tournament and hope to make several more!!! Last year, CHS started a Powerlifting team, and Coach Henry let me assist with the girls' division!! I am hoping to get to do that again this year!!! Last year, we sent 4 total lifters to the Regional competition--2 boys and 2 girls. This year, we hope to send even more!! Keep up-to-date on all sporting events on the school's web site!!!

I am proud to be a part of the ever changing CHS annual staff!! I serve as their advisor, but believe me, they are the leaders and creators!! Last year was our first full color annual and that was such a privilege to publish!! Oh what fun....taking pictures and capturing those memorable moments!!! Look for our publication this year!!
