Hello! Welcome to our K-3 "Wild About Reading" (Dyslexia Intervention) Room! My name is Paula Day, and I have been teaching 32 years. Teaching has always been my passion, as far back as I can remember! I feel very fortunate that I have a career that enables me to have the chance to be a positive influence on many children's lives. If I can accomplish that task, then I have lived a valuable life!
The goals that I have for my dyslexic students are to be able to learn coping skills in reading, spelling and writing; to be able to read, spell, and write on grade level; to be able to think on higher levels; and to develop a "love and excitement for reading"! We do many multisensory activities within the Neuhaus Program to tie all these goals together in our learning!
It is very exciting to see progress with this hard working group of students!
My personal goal is to let each child know his or her value as a person. I also want each child to know that I care about him or her now, and that I will continue to care about each one as he or she goes through life. |
